Whispered Interpretation (Chuchotage)

CHUCHOTAGE

Whispered interpreting is a mode in which the interpreter stays very close to one or several attendees and translates quietly for them, almost in a whisper, while the speaker is talking. It does not require any equipment and allows the person to follow the event in real time without interrupting the flow of the meeting.

  • REAL-TIME COMMUNICATION WITHOUT INTERRUPTION

The speaker does not have to stop. The person who needs interpretation receives the message instantly, while the event continues normally for the rest of the group.

  • NO BOOTH OR COMPLEX EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

No receivers, booths, or installation are needed. The interpreter stands next to the person and works directly.

  • A GREATER SENSE OF SUPPORT

The attendee feels they have a professional “right beside them”, available to clarify a specific term or nuance without disrupting the overall flow of the event.

MOST COMMON USE CASES

  • BUSINESS MEETINGS WITH ONE OR TWO INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS

  • INSTITUTIONAL OR CORPORATE EVENTS WITH AN INTERNATIONAL GUEST

  • OFFICIAL OR TECHNICAL VISITS FOR SMALL GROUPS

  • EVENTS OR CONFERENCES WHERE A FULL INTERPRETATION SETUP IS NOT ENVISAGED
